About a month ago our dear family friends the Nelson's moved to Des Monies and our whole family has really missed them. I often wonder if they are the kind of friends you find once in a lifetime because we had so many things in common. . .
• Four kids -
• A child with special needs
• Oldest child is a girls same age as Taylor – one of her best friends
• They have boy the same age a Brandon and they are best friends
• Their youngest is the same age as Caleb
Over the past five years we have spent a lot of time together eating meals at each other houses, celebrating holidays, swimming at the pool, playing games, swapping kids for play dates, or just hanging out together.
Since the kids got a couple days off for Easter we decided to head to Des Monies to visit our friends and celebrate David’s birthday. We found a great hotel right near their new house with a water park inside. It was a great way for the kids to burn off some energy before bed and gave us a chance to catch-up as we watched the kids enjoy the pool.
