A Night a the Circus

After a long hard week of having Charlie out of town at a conference and Lori dealing with two sick kids, we headed to the Circus as a family for a little fun.
There was elephants!

Tigers!
and of course CLOWNS!
Our seats were about 7 rows up. Close enough to see all the action on all three rings!
Brandon's favorite part - the motorcycles on high cables!
Taylor's favorite part - the spinning wheels!

The boys!

Taylor with her light-up butterfly wand!

A very happy Caleb! He loved it!

Easter Egg Fun - Part 2

Great friends and great neighbors lead to a wonderful Good Friday. The kids spent their first day of Easter break enjoying the good weather and playing with all their neighbor friends. We are so blessed to have a couple wonderful families in our neighbor with children about the same age as ours. With the snow finally melted the kids enjoyed lunch outside on the deck.

Then we had our good friends the Nelson's come over for dinner and a Easter Egg Hunt! The dad's hide the eggs all over our backyard and Kyle our backyard neighbor joined the hut!

The hunt is on! Looking for eggs!

Caleb loved it! He keep running around saying "egg"!

Mary and all her eggs!

Hannah loved finding them as much as she loved eating all the candy!

The boys worked as a team and shared their loot!

The whole gang!

Easter Egg Fun

Spending special time together as a family is a priority for us, but it is not every week you get to color Easter eggs together. This week Taylor and Brandon enjoyed spending some time with daddy making some very cool eggs. Check out all the fun!

Just getting started! This wasn't the old fashion Easter egg dye -they painted the eggs with bright colors with a shinny finish!

Taylor painted her egg green and daddy painted his egg blue & red (turned out pink)!

Brandon went for the multi-color look!

In addition to painting, they also used plastic gloves and drops of dye to create a very neat swirl look!

The finished prodect! Don't they look great?

On the move and Everywhere!

Emily is getting so big! She will turn 9 months old tomorrow! She is crawling all over the house and pulling herself up on anything she can find. I don't think it will be long before she is walking! She already has 5 teeth - 3 on top and two on bottom and is beginning to eat whole peas, corn, cut up bananas, grapes and small crackers. Now that she is on the move she is a much happier baby. She is a strong willed, determined and knows what she wants.
She loves to play under our kitchen table and gets into whatever Caleb, Brandon or Taylor is doing.

Even though our house is crazy with 4 young kids, we are enjoying each new milestone with Emily knowing this will be our last time experience these amazing and challenging baby moments!

Great to be a Kid

When I was taking Brandon to preschool yesterday he looked up at me and asked,
"Mom do you ever wonder what it feels like to be a kid?" "Yes", I said. He replied,
"It's GREAT mom, except when people growl at me; then it is kind of scary”. Aren't kids wonderful!

A Birthday Bash

Taylor turned 7 this past week. Boy how time does fly! This year she selected the Littlest Pet Shop as her theme. Nine of Taylor's little friends came over and we had a fun party full of games, crafts and cake and ice cream. Taylor is turning into just an amazing young lady with a compassionate heart and a sweet spirit.
